iOS — Virtual MIDI USB Setup
Connect your iOS device as a virtual MIDI port over USB:
- Connect your iPhone/iPad to your Mac via USB.
- On Mac, open Audio MIDI Setup (Applications > Utilities).
- Click Window > Show MIDI Studio — your iOS device should appear.
- Double-click your device and enable the MIDI connection.
- In Cubase, go to Studio Setup > MIDI Port Setup and enable the iOS virtual port.
- Open the app — the connection activates automatically.
On Windows, you may need the Apple Devices driver installed via iTunes to see the iOS device as a MIDI port.
